Blueprints in IriusRisk: Design Without Limits

When it comes to threat modeling, not every project needs to start with a full, license-consuming model. Sometimes, your team just needs to map out an idea, sketch an architecture, or start planning a new product. That’s exactly where Blueprints come in.

Blueprints are our newest way of helping you get more from IriusRisk – without using more licenses or costing you anything extra. Start early, and scale securely! Keep reading to learn how you can benefit.

What Are Blueprints?

Think of Blueprints as early-stage project drafts: architecture diagrams that can be created, edited, and shared (the one caveat to this is you cannot share Blueprints in Community Edition, they will be visible to you only). They sit in a new, dedicated Blueprint tab so you can easily manage them separately from your live, active threat models.The best part? They don’t consume a license until you choose to generate threats and countermeasures (which is when you hit the ‘Generate model’ button).
